Most projects are a complex matrix of specialised teams, disciplines and technologies. Martin has over 30 years experience in project managing Pan-European marketing campaigns for global brands. In that time, he has gained invaluable experience in how to overcome the type of pitfalls and challenges which can all too easily compromise a campaign.

Printing, graphic and digital technologies

From his early training in print buying, Martin enjoyed researching new printing technologies and this led to the formation of the Ace Group and its success as an award winning producer of Annual Reports.

Then, from regularly investing 6 figure amounts in the latest technology, Martin was able to successfully use his experience in both marketing and printing technology to provide specialist marketing support to printing and graphic technology manufacturers all over Europe, resulting in a consistent track record of successful campaigns for a wide variety of products.

More recently with the advance of digital printing, Martin has in-depth successful experience with high volume production digital printing and personalisation, wide format, office solutions and digital publishing.



Team management

From recruiting and managing 30 staff with the Ace Group to being a Board Director of a 120 person Agency. From sourcing and managing a multilingual network of specialist partners under the SMI umbrella, to being embedded with the marketing and sales team of a global brand, Martin has the ability to motivate virtual teams to deliver peak performance from both an agency and client perspective.



Telemarketing

Martin has extensive practical experience in directing and managing telemarketing on a Pan-European, multilingual basis. Telemarketing plays an important role in many phases of direct marketing and research, including data cleaning, qualifying and lead generation.



Database compilation

Database sourcing & management skills are rare. For Martin and his team at SMI, they are core. Database list sourcing can be very time consuming and frustrating. Even when you feel you have found the best available, the data is rarely 'as advertised' when it is finally in use. Martin has over 30 years of experience in database updating, analysing, sourcing and developing. This combined with in-depth experience across diverse markets, and you can see why we are so well placed to advise on a marketing database purchase (or to purchase it on behalf of a client) with minimum risk and maximum return on investment.



Once we have established, in collaboration with our clients, the profiles of top targets, we usually select the best information from a client's existing sales database (if it is available) and enhance it with highly targeted lists from sources all over Europe.

Obviously, without an extremely targeted and up-to-date sales database of targets, marketing spend will be wasted. That is why Martin provides a 'micro targeting system' for business databases and telemarketing services to ensure the highest possible levels of cost effectiveness for your business leads database.
